                  Family Holiday Pops

                  The holidays are all about tradition, family and fun and few things are more fun at the holidays than the "Family Holiday Pops" concert.  The Anchorage Concert Chorus and the Holiday Pops Orchestra will present a concert of traditional hymns, familiar holiday songs, and a few surprises.   Kids of all ages will have songs, sugarplums and Santa dancing in their heads at the end of this fun filled afternoon.  So much fun even the Grinch won't want to miss it.

                  What a treat this will be as the Anchorage Concert Chorus and Anchorage Youth Symphony join forces to present Beethoven's Symphony No. 9 in D minor.  
                  In the first half of the concert you'll be entertained by the 45-voice Chorale conducted by Dr. Grant Cochran.

                  The Anchorage Concert Chorus and soloists will be joined by the Anchorage Youth Symphony for the last half of the program - Beethoven Symphony No. 9.  This masterpiece is recognized as one of the all-time greatest achievements, not just in music, but for all humanity.  It will be an evening to remember.

                  Grapes of Wrath

                  The Anchorage Concert Chorus joins the Anchorage Opera for the opening of their 50th Season with the ALASKAN AND PACIFIC NORTHWEST PREMIERE of this contemporary opera.  Described as "one of the best operatic achievements of the twenty-first century," this piece has irresistibly beautiful music, majestic songs and grand choruses.   Narrated by composer Ricky Ian Gordon.
